Rhona is a graduate student in the Department of Philosophy, University College Cork (Ireland). She has been researching links between infantilization, disability, dehumanization and elderly care as part of her thesis, Infantilisation in Care, Community and Cognitive Disability (Sept. 2021). She has been the recipient of several academic awards.

She is a member of the Disabled Academic Collective, Full Spectrum Ireland, and the Society for Philosophy & Disability.

She lives on an island off the south-west coast of Ireland.
